Long-haired breeds like Shih Tzus are quite high-maintenance. They need regular baths and grooming, specially when you keep their hair long. If you don’t, their fur could get tangled up and gather dirt. And when that happens, tangles could also be very uncomfortable for the dog aside from looking dirty and ugly.

But the thing is, no matter how beautiful her coat, it’s still prone to getting all frizzy (I’ve already seen Shih Tzus that look more like poodles than their actual breed because their coat weren’t well-maintained). Shantee had been starting to stink lately—her bath was long overdue. Marc and I just couldn’t agree on who will give her a bath. Luckily, Shantee was already due to have her shots so we didn’t really have a choice but to give her one.
The staff of Posh Pets Grooming Salon (I think it’s the partner grooming salon of P&B Horseshoe Pet Clinic) along Katipunan Avenue were the ones who gave Shantee her long-overdue bath.
