Yummy and healthy treats for dogs by Whole Pet Kitchen

While staying at a coffee shop, have you ever wondered what it would be like if you can have your dog there with you sharing your biscotti as you sip your cafe latte? Well, there are places in the metro that already allows you to dine with your dog. But they don’t have a biscotti or muffin that will be safe for your pooch to eat.

Muffins, biscuits, biscotti, and other pastries that we humans eat usually contain ingredients dangerous — or even deadly — for our dogs. Wouldn’t it be nice if they can enjoy these yummy treats like we do? Believe it or not, they can now. Whole Pet Kitchen Pet Deli & Bark-ery makes this all possible! Read more

Going gaga for Beggin’ Strips

My dogs have tried a lot of treats… Mainly because I enjoy bringing home pasalubong for them, but sometimes they become unwitting (but very much willing!) taste testers for this blog. So far, of all the ones they’ve tried, Beggin’ Strips seem to be their favorite.

My dogs’ first experience with Beggin’ Strips was almost two years ago, sometime in January 2011. Since then, my pets’ reactions to Beggin’ Strips never changed. Shantee remembers she’s a dog, Kubrick turns into the most well-behaved dog that even Cesar Milan would be proud of! Patatats, our old and loyal Aspin, becomes as young as a pup. Popoy, also an Aspin, turns his hyperactivity to maximum level. Now that we have Pixel and Leica Lens joining our canine crew, we’ve got two more pooches turning like lunatics whenever they see that yellow package of Beggin’ Strips! Read more

The Eukanuba (with Prebiotics) experiment

One of the possible things that could happen to a mommy dog during and after pregnancy is the lack of nutrients. When Shantee was pregnant earlier this year, I already noticed that we had to increase her food intake as her usual wasn’t enough anymore. Some of her fur started falling off too (though this might be partly due to a cheaper dog food brand we had to buy when the shop we usually buy dog food from ran out of Shantee and Kubrick’s usual brand). By the time she was breast-feeding her pups, she had ugly bald spots ๐Ÿ™ I had to have her fur cut real short to make it grow evenly once again. This wasn’t so bad as it was the middle of the summer, but as you know, my little Dog Fashionista is very particular about how she looked. It was hard to make her pose for pictures and she didn’t look forward to daily walks like she used to because of her very short fur ๐Ÿ™

A shaved Shantee with Eukanuba bags, two months ago

I was honestly a bit skeptical when we were asked for our dogs to try Eukanuba for two months. We’ve already had a bad experience trying out other brands of dog food, and I wasn’t sure if Shantee was allergic to the formula that Eukanuba uses. Anyway, since we have a lot of other dogs who aren’t allergic to specific dog food brands, we decided to give it a try. If all else fails with Shantee and Kubrick, at least our other dogs can try it out. Read more

Animal Planet dog food: Nature’s Plan

Good dog food contributes a lot to having healthy and happy Shih Tzus! My pets are spoiled silly (obviously), and we try as much as possible to give them the best dog food there is. Though sometimes Shantee can be very picky (Kubrick will eat anything!), she just couldn’t say no to Nature’s Plan dog food! ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks to MyPetChannel.tv (thanks again!!!), my doggies were able to happily try out a dog food endorsed by Animal Planet: Nature’s Plan. See the pic? Shantee just couldn’t wait to taste it! Read more

All-natural goodies for doggies!

In one of those rare moments Marc and I go to Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong, we were lucky enough to come across this new pet food store in the mall, Bow & Wow.

Smart Rewards for a “smart” dog

Every time Marc and I go to SM Megamall in Ortigas, we always made sure to pass by Bio Research at the lower ground floor (near the skating rink). Marc liked looking at the fishes, while I try my best to sneakily buy something for my doggies left at home.

Smart Rewards

On this trip, I managed to smuggle some doggy treats for my furry friends: a bag of Pro Pac Smart Rewards Strips! Read more
